Welcome to rand(album)
You ever wish you were in a band? Well, this won't get you into one. It will let you have a little fun, though. We're gonna create a band and their debut album. I'll be making them whenever I'm bored. If you're bored (you know you are), your instructions are below. Put something together and email me the result. I'll probably post it, because I have no standards.
1. Go to Wikipedia and hit random. The title of the first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3. Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven... days”. Third picture no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use Photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together.
5. Email it to me (or upload it to tinypic.com and post the link in the comments here)
That's the 'official' meme. But, what happens when you hit the 'random' button on Wikipedia? You get a person, or a band, or an organization with a huge name. So I've taken the liberty of adjusting the rules to allow myself (and you!) to skip the following types of entries: People, Organizations, Bands, Albums, Songs, and Films. You don't have to, but you can. Because who wants to name their fake band Miley Cyrus?
